What it is Knowledge Management System

Principles and applicable methods under an outline and protocol to identify and to acquire data, to convert the same ones to information, to share the information and to apply the same one until the applied information produces knowledge, by means of decisions.

The knowledge applied in frequency and applied in other ways produces wisdom.

It includes the process of learning and management of information (some regions indicate it as "Computer science" which is alone one of the tools for the management of the fluency in route to "knowledge"). "KM" it provides principles and bases attending in generating evolutionary and favorable changes in the organization, according to the same one  discovers benefits - Here the proverb enters, of English, change of current paradigm... "If it´s not broken break it" - "But this broken one you break it". The changes can (and they have) produced impacts and they have propitiated of base for exchange broker... among these:

A new perception (and indeed) of knowledge like economic aspect in "active capital."

Creation of occupations for the creation and application of knowledge.

Convergence of information, technology, human Resources and the opportune arrival of vehicles for communication like Intranets and Extranets (also called Portals... Vortales).

Emphasis in the importance of "active (capital) such as the tacit knowledge that possesses an organization and as to take it to explicit for benefit of the operational body and to increase the intellectual value.

These factors express the reach and interest in KM which applies to an extensive gamma of industrial items and  govern. Depending on the context companies the focus is in the knowledge and not in the data or the information (as traditionally  has been managed), by this the structure of the organization is impacted.
