Focus of the KMS

The KMS is focused to detect, to document, to safeguard and to diffuse the knowledge and abilities that form the scientific, technological and cultural wealth of the Technological Institute of Sound, with the purpose of creating bigger knowledge and value for the Institution. The interaction tool that connects the users of a base of knowledge KM, has a deeper meaning in any organization. In their use an interaction process underlies among tacit and explicit knowledge that has dynamic and continuous nature. It is constituted in a permanent hairspring of transformation ontologic intern of knowledge, developed following 4 phases

•  Socialización is the process of acquiring tacit knowledge through sharing experiences by means of oral exhibitions, documents, manuals and traditions and that  adds the novel knowledge to the collective base that possesses the organization.

• Exteriorización transforms the tacit knowledge into explicit concepts that  supposes to make tangible, by means of the use of metaphors, the knowledge of for yes difficult to communicate, integrating it in the culture of the organization; it is the essential activity in the creation of the knowledge.

• Combination that consists on creating explicit knowledge when gathering explicit knowledge coming from certain number of sources, by means of the exchange of phone conversations, meetings, mail, etc., and you can categorize, to confront and to classify for forms databases to produce explicit knowledge.

Interiorización allows the incorporation of explicit knowledge in tacit knowledge that analyzes the experiences acquired in the setting in practice of the new knowledge and that he/she incorporates in the bases of tacit knowledge of the members of the organization in the form of shared mental models or practical of work.

Through a structured process of planning of the project of Administration of the knowledge, it has been developed and liberated the tool of KMS starting from June of this year giving beginning to the entrance of the pieces of the knowledge for the DE of Natural Resources, Guaymas and Administrative Vicerrectoría (first wave). Their interface is friendly; it possesses a structure of lists that you/they administer it and they offer support to the user at the same time that their manual and the section of on-line FAC´s. Their use is in the environment of the intranet of ITSON, in the following address: www.itson.mx/kms.html

Since it is a project that will go advancing in gradual form, at the moment we are in the second wave (where they participate the DE of Engineering and Technology, Sports and Factory of Software) in the diffusion phase and training to the teachers for the use of the platform. For it, we invite you to be integrated to the recreation of the knowledge, since we are convinced that the most profitable development in the history of the human thought takes place in those points where they are lines of different thought that make that they happen new and interesting events. (Valdés,1996)

We are sure of their impact to add value to the activities of the ITSON, reason why we invite them to participate actively in the use of this technological tool, with which we will evidence in tangible way that we are an Intelligent Institution that we learn how to learn.
